Caroline McInnis started Sharon Country Designs some years ago and began exhibiting her charming designs for both children and adults at local craft shows with yarns available in the general marketplace. Years of in-the-trenches contact with the actual Customer decided the path her business would take: she decided to commission her own exclusive yarns from European and domestic mills. Caroline was ahead of the curve. Long before the current trend towards natural fibres she began to offer a superb blend of superfine alpaca and merino in her kits. In 2005, based on market demand, she began offering her own privately-imported Supersoft merino/alpaca yarn as open stock to yarn stores. 2005 also saw the successful launch of her Cotton Licious 100% textured cotton, backed up with customary assortment of playful, easy-to-knit patternbook.
